A customer in the construction industry contracted Milwaukee Forge to fabricate a custom hub, a required component in industrial machinery and off-highway mobile equipment. Utilizing our developed press forging process, 8620H alloy steel was formed into the customer specified configuration.
Parts were then moved across our newly designed controlled cooling conveyors, which cool the units immediately and individually to provide a homogenous structure. This upgraded post production procedure offers a superior product while eliminating the need for normalizing, lowering overall customer cost. Brinell hardness checks are applied to ensure the required specification levels were met. 2,000 units were forged after a 1 week turnaround time and shipped to the customer in Indiana.
At Milwaukee Forge, we continuously improve and innovate our processes and methods in order to provide maximum value to our customers. We invest in the most advanced machinery available, to offer the highest quality and increased productivity.
